Great article.

In Lahore, we have Lawrence Gardens (now known as Bagh-e-Jinnah). It was named after John Lawrence, Henry's brother.

Enjoyed reading this piece, Sam as it carried the storytelling capacity as much as history reenacted - a promising Amitav Ghosh of the future. There's a great future for historical fiction that captures the past with imagination. You should surpass your father.

And after the War of 1857, the Sikhs were designated as a warrior caste?

Basically the sikhs broke the 1809 treaty hence the EIC attacked
